Happy New Year, everyone! It looks like Earth has completed another successful trip around the sun, and we’re now closer to 2050 than to the year 2000. The title of this week’s episode comes from an EP released by Noir Music back in 2011.
This week’s selection opens with a remix of Andy Caldwell’s “Pulling Every String,” reworked by Birds of Mind, who introduce their signature sound with rich chord progressions and artful arrangements. Goodman follows with “My Soul,” a very catchy house tune that’s perfect for a summer evening.
Music producer and artist Mita Gami is set to drop a fresh take on his latest track, “All By Myself,” which draws inspiration from the iconic Davis Sisters’ song, “Lord Don’t Leave Me”—famously sampled by Moby in his hit “In This World.” Mita Gami’s reimagined version blends his signature sound with the timeless soul of the Davis Sisters’ classic, creating a track that’s destined to resonate with techno and chill enthusiasts alike.
I hope you enjoy this week’s selection! And as the cherry on top, here’s a live performance of Mita Gami playing “All By Myself” with an orchestra conducted by Meir Briskman.
