We're just a few days away from the official end of winter—longer, sunnier days are ahead! Let’s ease into the season with a spectral, jazz-inflected deep house tune from the one and only Chaos In the CBD.
Max Cooper's "Peace Exists Here" was created from the longer quote “Life is meaning less. Nothing matters. Peace exists here. And yet the world is never ending. I cannot catch my breathe. Stress comes from the deadlines that we place on ourselves.”
"I was interested in the island of peace in there amongst the chaos of life seeming to be in the quote. So I turned to my personal island of musical peace, the resonant chords of the Prophet 6, carrying a slow tempo techno track in there amongst all my favourite clicky detailings and micro-jams. It’s a rendering of my safe space to get lost in and have some time away from the real world. Which is where the quote took me."
Released last year, Plastikrosen by Felix E and Michael Ritter blends emotive sirens and organic drums with resonant stabs and manipulated vocal hooks, creating a warm, chord-driven aesthetic. The Plastikrosen EP explores the intersection of natural and synthetic soundscapes, offering listeners a richly textured experience.
Finally, as we await DJ Koze’s upcoming release, let’s revisit his collaboration with Ada. In Unbelievable, Koze weaves his signature blend of electronic textures with Ada’s ethereal vocals, crafting a soundscape that drifts between beauty and unease.
Have a great week! ❤️
